J-FASHION!
Come all dressed up at Konbini SG コンビニ to mingle and exchange outfit ideas with our J-fashion community! We hold a bestdressed giveaway every event! But Why the Japanese theme? What's so great about J-fashion?

Konbini has a special interest in Japanese fashion for its diversity, attention to detail, and constant evolution in the spirit of experimentation and exploration of the new.
Japanese fashion as a case study has taught us at Konbini that a currently diverse fashion scene will give way to even more innovation and diversity – a youth population that is stimulated and inspired by the myriad of colours and textures of what’s around them is well-equipped with the spirit and creativity to make something new.
Fast fashion is an especially ubiquitous force that begs the emergence of some sort of counter-culture – in a world where we can each own the exact same piece in the exact same wardrobe from the exact same store, there’s a hunger for something different. In the same way, Harajuku arose in defiance of socio-cultural norms.
When we think about Singaporean fashion, the mind drifts to the typical t-shirt, shorts and slides combination – something deemed as unfashionably practical. There’s really a vacuum here – an absence of a fashion identity that general Singaporeans can genuinely be proud of.

In a society that hinges itself on minimalism and hyper-functionality, how can our youths find the avenue to explore and experience enough to establish a unique and thriving local fashion scene?
